Information Technology: Data Analytics

Entry Requirements: Lvl 2 Pass

Our Level 3 in IT: Data Analytics provides students with theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience of information technology and data. The course provides them with the understanding and skills that will help prepare them for progression to undergraduate study and are relevant to the information technology sector.

There are two qualifications available in IT: Data Analytics. These are:

• OCR Level 3 Cambridge Advanced National (AAQ) in IT: Data Analytics (Certificate) 150 GLH

• OCR Level 3 Cambridge Advanced National (AAQ) in IT: Data Analytics (Extended Certificate) 360 GLH

The mandatory units are: Fundamentals of data analytics, Big data and machine learning and spreadsheet modelling. The optional units are: Relational database design, Data and the Internet of Everything (IoE), Data visualisation and Data and digital marketing. There are two external assessments and three non-exam assessments.

These subjects might complement this qualification: A Level Business, A Level Computing, A Level Geography, A-Level Maths, A Level Psychology. The qualification can help you progress to further study in related areas such as: Business Analytics, Information Technology and Digital Marketing.
